What we collect and why
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on our public pages to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, time on site, general geographic region (country and city level), and device type. GA4 sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to tell visits apart, and the data is processed by Google. If you turn measurement off in Your privacy choices below, GA4 is never loaded in this browser. It never loads on pages we send you directly, such as proposals and invoices.
Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel on our public pages to measure whether our advertising on Facebook and Instagram leads to inquiries. It sets cookies (_fbp, _fbc) and tells Meta which pages you visit, which buttons you click and, when you send our contact form, that an inquiry was made. When you fill in a form on those pages, it also reads contact details you type, such as your email, phone number, name, city, state and ZIP code, and sends them to Meta in scrambled (hashed) form so Meta can match the visit to an account. These events are sent from your browser and from our server (Meta's Conversions API, which also sends a hashed copy of the email address on the contact form). Meta may use them to show you relevant ads. The Meta Pixel is off if you turn measurement off below or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, and it never loads on pages we send you directly. Engagement tracker
Our server records a lightweight engagement signal when you visit a page. This captures your IP address (used to derive approximate location at the country/city level), device type (desktop, mobile, tablet), browser, and which sections of the page you scroll through. We use this to understand whether client-facing proposal pages are being read. This record stays in our own system and is never shared with Google, Meta or any other advertising platform; it is disclosed here so you are aware of it.
Contact and inquiry forms
When you fill out a contact form or free-audit request, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the message you send. We store it in our own database and customer records and receive it by email through Google's Gmail, and we use it solely to respond to your inquiry and follow up. We do not sell this data.
Payment processing (Stripe)
If you make a payment through our site, payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe may set its own cookies and collect device data as part of fraud prevention. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
Booking a call
Our "Book a Call" button opens Google Calendar's appointment booking page. Our site loads no booking widget; when you book, Google collects your name and email address to schedule the call. See Google's Privacy Policy.
How we use your information
- To respond to inquiries and deliver services you've requested
- To understand site usage and improve content (analytics)
- To measure whether our advertising on Facebook and Instagram works (Meta Pixel)
- To process payments securely via Stripe
- To send project-related emails and updates (no marketing spam)
We do not sell or rent your personal information for money. The Meta Pixel shares your activity on our public pages with Meta for ad measurement, which some state privacy laws treat as "sharing". You can stop it in Your privacy choices below, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
Data retention
We keep contact and project data for as long as the business relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. You may request deletion at any time (see below).

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Email us at danny@gottyoudigital.com with your request. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Your privacy choices
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use this site, and the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. You can turn both off for this browser.
On. Pages we send you directly, such as proposals, invoices and agreements, never load these tools; they record your visit only in our own system.

Security
We use HTTPS on all pages. Payment data flows through Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. We take reasonable precautions to protect the data we store, but no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
